Brastad has had the pleasure of contributing to this iconic building through the production of the impressive metal structure that gives the building its unique shape and strength.
This architectural work blends seamlessly with the magnificent surrounding landscape, symbolizing the proximity to the Romsdal Mountains that surround Åndalsnes.
The metal structure - a combination of form and function
Our work on the metal structure included precise fabrication of the supporting structures, which both give the building its distinctive look and ensure its technical integrity. The building's design is inspired by the mountain peaks for which the region is famous, and the metal structure emphasizes this by reflecting the lines and dynamics of nature. The use of durable and aesthetic materials ensures that the building both stands the test of time and retains its architectural character.
Experiences for everyone - Norwegian Tindesenter as a destination
Norsk Tindesenter is more than a building; it's a destination for both locals and visitors from around the world. The building houses one of Norway's highest indoor climbing walls, where climbers of all levels can challenge themselves on routes that vary in difficulty. Here you'll also find a small but well-equipped mountain sports shop offering everything you need for hiking and outdoor activities.
The Tindestua restaurant is a natural gathering point, with exquisite dishes and a view that takes your breath away. The Norwegian Tindemuseum, also part of the center, tells the story of Norwegian mountain sports through exhibitions that inspire and inform.
Our role in the project
We are proud to have been part of this prestigious project, where we had the opportunity to combine our technical expertise with a project of great importance to the region.
